The father of an accused killer plowed his car into a crowd of people who were gathered at the crime scene of a murder reportedly carried out by his son on Wednesday. The man has been identified as Louis Dante Anthony III.

Local reports say there was a deadly shooting at around 12:30 p.m. outside a complex at 6060 Belarbor in Houston, Texas. Twenty-year-old Demarkus Harrison was killed and another person was injured.

Neighbors said tensions between family members and friends of the victim and the suspect had already been escalating throughout the day.

News cameras were rolling when Anthony began driving his car erratically through the crowd. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Anthony's fiance, Deshonna Smith was in the car with him, but told reporters that he was acting in self defense.

"Why would I be in the car and let him do that," she said to a KHOU reporter. "They came out here picking on him. This was self defense."

Smith said the victim's family was taunting Anthony, and one thing led to another.

"That's when he got upset. The man threw the bicycle. Another man came and punched him in his face. That's when you seen the car go up in the median," said Smith. "The devil has taken over this whole apartment complex. This ain't nothing but Satan's playground."
