Ohio police chief Luke Mace, 38, was recently suspended from his post as top cop in the small village of Glouster after allegedly hiding wanted drug suspect Hilary Hooper from arrest while also sleeping with her.
A grand jury heard how Mace first met 23-year old Hooper on March 28 following a police chase after she crashed her vehicle into a parked car and fence.
Hooper was suspected of being intoxicated on heroin and had outstanding warrants, but instead of arresting her Mace fell for her.
The jury then heard that despite knowing about her warrants, Mace allegedly starting dating her. The two enjoying dinner in Logan on May 22 before spending the night at Mace's house.
The jury also alleged that on May 23 Mace went to help Hooper change a tire while on duty, where he informed her of a warrant round up and told her to leave town.
Prosecutors even alleged that the duo got down and dirty in Mace's cruiser, and have evidence of bodily fluids to prove it.
Mace has now been suspended from his 32,000-a-year job and indicted on 12 charges. Hooper, meanwhile, pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin.
