Sharks are called the apex predator of the seas, with sharp teeth and a voracious appetite. But just off the Australian coast, one learned the hard way what happens when it's eyes were bigger than it's stomach.

It had spotted a tasty albeit plump meal in the form of a sea lion. Even though the creature was ⅓ the size of the shark, it still managed to swallow the water mammal whole. But that's where the problems began.

Sharks must constantly swim to keep their gills flowing with water or else they will asphyxiate. The greedy White Pointer's meal blocked this flow with the seal stuck it its maw; literally choking to death on its blubbery catch.

Video of the shark thrashing about on the sandy beaches of Western Australia was captured; it's vain attempt at dislodging the seal from its gullet. However it perished hours later, washing ashore on the beach.
