Thieves steal 10 trucks worth of beer from German warehouse during World Cup victory celebration

Using the distraction of their nation celebrating a World Cup win, a group of thieves pulled off a 300,000-litre beer heist near Krefeld, and no one noticed for four days German media reports.

Sometime after 5pm last Thursday, the thieves broke into an unguarded beer warehouse on the outskirts of town.

Witnesses recall seeing blue and white trucks with three men loading items, but did not think it was suspicious so very little details are available.

The men got away with over a million dollars worth of beer.

Police have not revealed what brand or brands of beer were stolen, but they are asking anyone who can provide information about where the beer might be stored to come forward.
