Wacky woman attempts to steal a police cruiser with two officers still inside
  • 9 years ago
A woman was arrested after she attempted to steal police car with two cops still inside outside a club in Pennsylvania early Saturday morning.

Earlier in the night, Wiz Khalifa rocked the stage at the First Niagara Pavilion in Pittsburgh. 2,500 revelers, including 32-year-old Ria Buford, hit up an after party at Club Xtaza. Buford left the party shortly after 2 a.m.

Outside the club, police officers sat in an unmarked squad car. When the driver stepped out of the vehicle to make a phone call, Buford saw it as an opportunity to score a ride. She hopped into the driver’s seat of the idling police car, which had two officers still inside. When the cops ordered her to get out, Buford told them she wanted to drive it to her vehicle.

Officer Garrett Spory was riding shotgun and ran around to the driver’s side to physically remove her. A friend of Buford then grabbed the officer’s shirt before his back was introduced to another officer’s knee.

Buford was charged with public drunkenness, robbery of a motor vehicle and disorderly conduct. Her friend, identified as John Doe, was also charged with public drunkenness, assault and resisting arrest.
