Three people were killed following a shooting at a furniture plant shortly before noon in Monticello, Indiana on Tuesday.
A witness told WLFI-TV that a man walked into the office of Jordan Manufacturing with a box wrapped like a present with a bow and asked for his ex-wife. He was told she went out for lunch.
The witness then saw the man hide outside the office, then walk up to his ex-wife and her boyfriend when they pulled into the parking lot. The man first said hello to both people inside the vehicle. He then put his hand inside the car and shot the boyfriend, then his ex-wife, before killing himself.
Fox 28 reports that officers on the scene found a deceased man lying on the ground near a car in the parking lot, along with a handgun nearby. The man in the driver’s seat died from apparent gunshot wounds, while the woman was transported to a local hospital and where she was pronounced dead. Authorities did not release the identities of the deceased and they are not looking for a person of interest.
