Cop shot: Pennsylvania trooper Bryon Dickson killed in an ambush at police barracks

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the unidentified gunman who killed a Pennsylvania trooper and wounded another in an ambush on Friday night.

The attack took place at the Blooming Grove Township police barracks shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Friday. Two troopers, Bryon Dickson and Alex Douglass, were leaving the barracks during their shift change. They were caught off-guard when a gunman opened fire on them. Dickson was killed, and Douglass was wounded.

Law enforcement officers from New Jersey and New York have joined in the hunt for the attacker. Frank Noonan, the Pennsylvania State Police commissioner, said they were search for a were searching for “a very dangerous, armed criminal.”
