Shovel Girl vs Shovel Thrower: Girl fight caught on video in Springfield, Ohio

Miranda Lynn Fugate aka “Shovel Girl” became internet famous after a video of her fighting Emily Olinger aka “Shovel Thrower” went viral. The fight over a boy took place in Springfield, Ohio on Sunday.
The girls chatted for a few minutes while finding an appropriate place to fight. Several friends watched them pull hair, scratch and throw punches on the ground — after they agreed to avoid doing all three.
They would take breaks, then go back to fighting, until Olinger threatened to get a BB gun from her house. Fugate chased her to the front door, where Olinger grabbed a shovel and threw it at Fugate’s head.
The fight was over after the shovel whack, and Miranda was helped off the ground by her friends. She claimed to have lost her hearing in the original video, but subsequent videos showed that she was recovering just fine.
The video garnered more than 300,000 views on YouTube before being removed.
