Christmas wrapping paper attack: Missouri man chokes wife until she blacks out on Christmas Day

A man was arrested in a St. Louis suburb after allegedly using a roll of wrapping paper to choke his wife on Christmas.
For most, the holidays are joyous occasion. A time for family and friends, and filled with uncomplicated joy. Not so for 26-year-old David Anderson Hampton Jr., who, armed with wrapping paper presumably used for Christmas presents, suffocated his wife until she blacked out.
Hampton's since been charged with felony domestic assault for the Christmas Day attack, which happened in St. Peters.
The only possible justification for his actions: that he took Mariah Carey a bit too literally and tried to demonstrate, by wrapping her up, that his wife was indeed all he wanted for Christmas.
