Late one evening in Taichung city, a 9 year old boy walked into a police station leading his two younger siblings, ages 5 and 7. The three children had a single suitcase and a note with a phone number and the name of their grandfather.

The police officer at the desk asks the three children where their parents were and the eldest brother responded that their parents had gone off to die.

Shocked, the police began interviewing the three children. The older brother was able to draw the logo of the car their parents had rented and police began tracking both the parents’ phones.

They were able to track the couple to a remote mountain location where they discovered the husband and wife had taken overdoses of amphetamines and had also run a hose from the exhaust pipe of their car to pump carbon monoxide into the passenger compartment.

Luckily both were rushed to hospital where they are now in stable condition.

In the meantime, the three children will be sent to live with their grandfather anyway while their parents recover.
