Rajkot civic officials evict slumdwellers from raiyadhar - Tv9 Gujarati

The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has carried out demolition at Raiyadhar Slums in city. Earlier, RMC had planned to carry out demolition on 2 May but due inadequate police force, civic body postponed the planned demolition. The slum dwellers have been opposing the RMC’s housing scheme which is being implemented under Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Earlier, slum dwellers took out a huge rally protesting against the civic body’s move to build housing scheme under the Public Private Partnership (PPP).
