A rescue team has retrieved nearly 25 million in local Nepalese Rupee currency, or the equivalent of almost $245,000 U.S., from the rubble of a local bank.
A Nepalese search team has retrieved millions in local currency in cash amidst the post-earthquake rubble of a bank in Kathmandu.
According to one report, the amount recovered was around 24.89 million Nepalese rupees which is nearly $245,000 in U.S. dollars.
Smaller amounts of U.S. and Thai currency were also located.
