A Pakistani anti-terrorism court has sentenced 10 men to life imprisonment in connection with the attack on Malala Yousafzai.
Back in October, 2012, Malala, just 15 at the time, was shot in the head while riding her school bus. Two other girls were also wounded. Malala was flown to the UK for treatment where she currently lives.
According to VOA, the men sentenced were involved in the incident but the list doesn't include the shooter who reportedly escaped to Afghanistan.
The BBC notes, all of them are part of the Pakistani Taliban.
The attack on innocent children shocked the world and Malala became the face for girls' right to education and other liberties in parts of Pakistan where militant groups have a strong presence.
