HK double murders: British expat kills 2 foreign sex workers in blood bath

Today more information was released about the two murder victims that were discovered in Wan Chai on Saturday by Hong Kong police.
The first victim, Sumarti Ningshi, age 25, is from Indonesia and police suspect she has already been dead for several days. Her mutilated body was discovered on the balcony of an affluent apartment stuffed inside a suitcase.
The second victim, Jesse Lorena, age 30, is also from Indonesia and was found inside the apartment with gaping wounds to her throat.
The dried blood of both victims is still splashed around the floor and walls of the apartment. Both women also worked in the nearby red light district as prostitutes.
When friends noticed that Ningshi’s FB and WhatsApp had gone silent they assumed she had finally been caught and arrested by Hong Kong police for prostitution. They never imagined that her body was lying in the apartment of a 29 year old British expat named Rurik Jutting.
Other working girls would later say they’d seen both women go off with foreign men on the nights they disappeared, but were unable to say whether or not those men were one in the same.
Rurik Jutting lived in the apartment where the women were found and he also reported the crime to the police on Saturday. The area is popular with high-rolling financial expats living in Hong Kong. Jutting had only just recently quit his job with Bank of America Merrill Lynch last week.
