Mental disorder: jealous wife with Othello Syndrome forces husband to take lie detector tests daily

Debbie Wood, who is quite possibly the world’s most jealous woman just got married this past Halloween.
The 43-year-old and her 31-year-old husband, Steve have been together since 2011, but what makes their union noteworthy and no doubt extremely difficult for one party in particular is the fact that Debbie suffers from Othello Syndrome.
Othello Syndrome is a delusional disorder that causes those who have it to suffer from irrational and uncontrollable jealousy. It’s named after Shakespeare’s famous Moor of Venice, Othello, who killed his wife in a fit of unfounded jealousy.
This disorder is the reason why Debbie makes Steve take a lie detector test every time he goes out and returns home to make sure he hasn’t been looking at other women. On top of that, Deb forbids Steve from watching TV, on the off chance he might be eyeing a female model and also checks all of his emails, text messages and social media interactions several times a day to make sure he isn’t planning on stepping out on her.
Most people probably wouldn’t be able to handle a partner that jealous, but nevertheless, Steve says she’s well worth it.
