Animal cruelty: New Zealand cop shoots innocent pooch on property with crossbow

A New Zealand police officer is under investigation for taking the law into his own hands after he fired an arrow at a dogs back for trespassing onto his property.

The bullmastiff breed, known is Zeta, wandered on to the property of the Whakatane off duty cop when he decided to teach him a lesson.

He shot an arrow at the 4-year-old pooch, seriously injuring the animal.

The wounded pooch managed to make it back to his owner’s home before collapsing in front of her.

The cop with a guilty conscience and turned himself in three days later to officials.

Currently, authorities are conducting a criminal investigation into this incident and SPCA officials want the officer reprimanded for his offensive actions.
