The family and friends of Jessica Chambers are demanding answers after the 19-year-old was killed on Saturday night in Courtland, a town in Panola County, Mississippi.

Chambers’ mother, Lisa Chambers, said her daughter had called home that evening to inform her that she was going out to clean her car and get something to eat but she never came home, MSN News Now reported.

“[She] said ‘Bye, I love you, Mama. See you in a little while.’ Next time I seen her, she was in the Med,” Chambers’ mother said.

Chambers’ father, Ben Chambers, said investigators told him someone had squirted lighter fluid down his daughter’s throat and in her nose before setting her on fire. She was also apparently knocked out and suffered a gash on the top of her head. He added that his daughter tried to tell investigators who had attacked her in her last breaths.

"She told them, she told them, told him who done it," he said.

"When the fire department got there, she was walking down the road on fire," he said. "Only part of her body that wasn't burned was the bottom of her feet."

According to investigators, when they were alerted by a passerby to the scene along Herron Road near Highway 51, they found Chambers engulfed in flames walking along the the road near her car. She was rushed to a hospital in Memphis, where she died. An autopsy revealed that Chambers suffered severe burns across 98 percent of her body.

Friends and family have taken to social media to find out the truth of what happened, posting comments under the hashtag #justiceforjessica.
