Scientists have found cold plasma effective in eliminating norovirus, a virus that causes food poisoning.

A team of German scientists studied the effectiveness of cold plasma in eliminating norovirus. A cold plasma generator can produce highly noxious ions by creating an electric field to air. Researchers also found that the generator could drive down the number of norovirus particles by 20 to 50 times.
A cold plasma generator, a waterless technology, renders disinfectants unnecessary and can be used in various ways, including to clean hands or cutlery.
Researchers believe a combination of cold plasma and bleach is the most effective way to fend off norovirus.
