No Self Respect: Wife forgives husband for attempting to murder her three times

Mr. Zhang spent years working in China as an engineer, where he met and married his wife, a Chinese national.
Of course when Mr. Zhang quit his job and returned to Taiwan, he brought his then pregnant wife with him.
Together they decided to open a small mom and pop’s shop and they seemed to be a happy couple.
Only, Mr. Zhang may have been getting tired of his wife.
Last year when she returned home to Jiangsu, China, to visit her parents he attempted to hire two teenage hitmen to kill his her. The two supposed hitmen lost their bravado and fled after Mrs. Zhang answered the door. Her father chased the two down and demanded to know why they had come a’knockin’.
After they ‘fessed up, police in China contacted the Taiwan police and an additional investigation revealed Mr. Zhang had attempted to hire hitmen to kill his wife two times previously.
The two teenage wanna-be hitmen have been sentenced to 3-4 years each and the police in Taiwan have arrested Mr. Zhang. He has yet to be prosecuted.
So you’d think his wife would divorce him and take him for everything she could, right?
Wrong. Apparently, she’s come back to Taiwan and has forgiven him for attempting to have her murdered three times.
