Retired New York cop apparently to blame for killing two teenage daughters before committing suicide

Police are investigating the deaths of a retired White Plains, New York police officer and his two teenage daughters in an apparent murder-suicide.

Police arrived at the home of Glen Hochman on Adelphi Avenue around 3:50 p.m. Saturday after they received a call about something suspicious, according to CBS2 News. They found the bodies of 52-year-old Hochman and his two daughters, 17-year-old Alissa and 13-year-old Deanna.

Hochman's wife and an older daughter were reportedly not home at the time of the shootings.

News 12 Westchester reported that neighbors mentioned Hochman was having problems with his wife, although this has not been stated as the cause for the murder-suicide.

According to David Chong, White Plains' public safety commissioner, Hochman served 22 years on the White Plains police force.

"The department is shocked and horrified by the news of this unfathomable tragedy," Chong said in a statement.
