North Korea test-fired multiple ground-to-air missiles into waters off its east coast on Thursday.

North Korea has test-fired seven ground-to-air missiles from Seondok, South Hamkyong Province into the East Sea at around 6 p.m., according to Yonhap News.

The missiles launched include a SA-5, which was test-fired for the first time in North Korea. It flew some 200 km before falling into the sea, Yonhap News reported.

Other missiles fired allegedly include SA-2 and SA-3 missiles that have a range of up to 45 km while the SA-5 could fly up to 250 km, Yonhap News and New York Times reported.

North Korea has conducted various short-range missile tests in recent weeks. Two Scud-type ballistic missiles were launched on the first day of US-South Korea joint military drills, according to the New York Times.
