Darth Vader bank robbery: Star Wars Sith Lord armed with rifle holds up North Carolina bank

A roughly 5-foot-tall suspect dressed as Sith Lord Darth Vader, complete with mask, chestplate and gloves, used a long rifle to rob the Pineville State Employees Credit Union in North Carolina on Monday (March 16, 2015) morning.

The hold-up was not a viral marketing stunt for Star Wars 7, this Darth pointed his rifle at a teller, demanded cash, and escaped with several thousand dollars in cash.

The "Dark Lord" then fled in a gray four-door Chevrolet Suburban, bank workers said. The FBI is searching for the robber.
