Former New York Knick and current Pacers small forward Chris Copeland was stabbed early Wednesday morning along with his wife and another female outside Manhattan’s 1 Oak nightclub, according to a New York Daily News report.

Copeland, 31, had been arguing with wife, Katrine Saltara, outside the Chelsea hotspot on West 17th Street around 4 a.m. when the suspect, Shevoy Bleary Murdock, 22, reportedly followed the couple and began eavesdropping, according to police sources cited by the paper.

Murdock allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the NBA star in his abdomen and elbow before slashing Copeland’s wife and another woman, 53-year-old Catherine Somani.

A limousine driver outside the nightclub who witnessed the carnage unfold flagged down nearby officers who arrested Murdock at the scene, along with two Atlanta Hawks players, Pero Antić and Thabo Sefolosha, who allegedly interfered with the suspect’s arrest.
