Panama: US will no longer meddle in Latin America, says Obama

The big moment has finally come and the 7th Summit of the Americas is just beginning with heavy security contingents for the 33 heads of State. Both President Raul Castro and President Barack Obama will be present for the first time since 1962 when the US expelled Cuba from the Organization of the American States. Obama told an alternative forum that the United States will no longer meddle in Latin America. Nevertheless, the US has still not removed Cuba from the terrorist list and will block passage of other matters seen as critical by Latin America. The first thing President Nicolas Maduro did when he arrived in Panama was to visit the working class community bombed by the United States in 1989. In a press conference, Maduro demanded an apology from the United States for the bombing and in invasion in which several hundred people were killed. teleSUR
