DirecTV Told To Stop Airing Rob Lowe Ads Due To Comcast Complaint

An assertion by Comcast that DirecTV’s Rob Lowe ads are misleading has resulted in a request by an advertising trade group that the spots cease to be aired.

The DirecTV ads starring Rob Lowe as himself and a decidedly less stellar version of himself have proven controversial in a number of ways. 
Though in the past it was typically special interest groups who took offense to one thing or another that non-fabulous Lowe did, one of the latest complaints comes from Comcast.
