PETA is sharing the story of a rescued chimpanzee named Iris. The 32-year-old animal was kept inside a cell at a roadside zoo in Georgia.

PETA is sharing the story of a rescued 32-year-old chimpanzee named Iris who they assert was kept inside a cell at a roadside zoo in Georgia.

She spent most of her days in the dark cell that according to PETA, was only cleaned about twice a week. There were no toys around, no windows and no one to play with. She would often hide under a dirty blanket and coat the walls with her own excrement.
