MQM Condemns Arbitrary Arrests Of Workers

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement strongly condemned the arbitrary arrest of MQM New Karachi Sector In-charge Ali Raza son of Shamim Raza and illegal raid on his home in Gulistan-e-Johar.
In a statement, the Committee said that MQM workers could not be separated from Altaf Hussain by such tactics and they could not be demoralized. It said that the Rangers personnel arrested Ali Raza and took him along with them to unknown place at midnight on 18th February.
The Committee said that he was being tortured in the custody and investing agencies trying to record his confession against MQM. It said that MQM workers were being tortured brutally, while the human rights of the workers, including democratic and political rights of MQM were badly violated.
The Coordination Committee said that through the tactics of oppressions, MQM workers could not be spared from Altaf Hussain and MQM. It demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice against the arbitrary arrest of MQM New Karachi Sector In-charge Ali Raza and should stop raids and arrests of MQM workers.
