Colombia: Gov't to halt bombing of rebel positions for 1 month

In a major step in the Colombian peace process, the government announced that it would not bomb Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) positions for one month. President Juan Manuel Santos said the decision was in response to the FARC's declaration of a unilateral truce. Thus far the Colombian government has repeatedly rejected rebel proposals for a bilateral ceasefire. teleSUR
