The Schwerbelastungskörper or heavy load bearing body is one of the last monuments that remind of the plans that Adolf Hitler and his architect Albert Speer had for Berlin during the Nazi era. The 12 000 tonnes cylinder was built to test wether the sandy ground was solid enough. Free entrance. Closed in winter.
