Older Koreans spending less to save for life after retirement: data

Members of Korea's older generation are becoming more hesitant to spend money these days, as they prepare for their lives after retirement.
Statistics Korea says... the average tendency to consume... among households led by people in their sixties... tumbled by eleven-and-a-half percentage points between 2003 and 2014.
That age group was spending the most in 2003.
The second biggest drop was experienced by those in their fifties,... with a decline of five-point-seven percentage points.
The index measures the proportion of money people use from their disposable income.
