Two fetuses were recently discovered by employees at a company that offers linen services to hospitals. The incident happened on Tuesday morning. Police were sent to the Angelica Corporation after workers reported finding them wrapped in sheets.
They had picked up the linens for cleaning at Spring Valley Hospital prior to the discovery. The Las Vegas Review-Journal notes the twin fetuses were 4 months into development.
Henderson police launched an investigation into the case and spokesperson Kathleen Richards revealed the hospital mistakenly disposed the two fetuses.
A statement from the hospital further explains the circumstances of the case, "After suffering a miscarriage at another location, the patient arrived via EMS with twin, early gestational, deceased fetuses.”
Hospital officials said they are reviewing the incident and continue to work
