Mumbai: Woman cheats friend over gold jewellery - Tv9 Gujarati

Mumbai: Friendship proved to be costly for Monica Bhandari, a resident of Subhashnagar in Andheri who ended up being cheated of gold jewellery by her friend. While in the need of money, Mrs Bhandari mortgaged 35 tola gold before bank on the interest rate of 3%. The friend Sagra Birajdar asked Mrs. Bhandari to get her money on 1% against 35 tola gold from another bank. She continued to pay interest for few months and then asked Sagra to return gold jewellery paying off all money but she refused. Following Mrs.Bhandari's complaint police started investigation and found that Sagra Birajdar has cheated as many as 17 people using different luring tricks.
