The Newshour Debate: Polls over, VVIPs are back

The road to the Chandigarh railway station split into two zones and the basis of the division made obvious through this board where the words VIPs & VVIPs are inscribed in bold letters. And look while the lane for people like you and me is choked, the special lane for these so called VVIPs is empty. From railway stations to airports, there is no curbing the VVIP Raj. TIMES NOW has accessed documents which show these netas have chosen to use the runway like their property with most of them citing health to drive in their own cars till the aircraft. So when your ailing grandmother takes the bus along with several others netas like Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Mayawati and Jayalalithaa, drive through the runways in cars according to their own convenience. And when we question them, they are ready with a list of excuses. Elections are over, the VVIP culture is back.

In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- GVL Narasimha Rao, National Spokesperson, BJP; Salman Soz, Spokesperson, Congress; Manjit Singh GK, President, Delhi Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee; Raghav Chadha, Leader AAP; Jitendra Bhargava, Former Executive Director, Air India; Bejon Misra, Consumer Policy Expert & Founder Consumer Online Foundation and Mohandas Pai, Former Director, HR, Infosys -- discuss the issue -- polls over, VVIPs are back.
