Denmark 'devastated' after Copenhagen killings

Denmark is in shock following the deadly attacks that left two people dead and five wounded.
Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt laid flowers at the synagogue, the scene of the second attack, where a 37-year-old voluntary guard named by Denmark’s Chief Rabbi as Dan Uzan, was killed and two police officers injured.
The PM offered a message of solidarity to Denmark’s Jewish community: “We stand here in front of the Jewish synagogue in Copenhagen. We are devastated today, a man has lost his life in the service of that synagogue, and we are devastated. Our thoughts go to his family. We are with them today, but our thoughts go to the whole of the Jewish community today. They belong in Denmark.”
In an attempt to reassure the general public Danish police say they will maintain a high presence in the city as investigations into the murders continue.
