An 11-year-old girl in Wickliffe, Ohio is accused of fatally beating a two-month-old baby.
An 11-year-old girl in Wickliffe, Ohio is accused of fatally beating a two-month-old baby. On Friday, the infant was left with a babysitter.
The mother of the 11-year-old was watching the infant and she fell asleep on the sofa at about 3 in the morning. Some time after that, the older child took the baby, Zuri Whitehead, upstairs.
Zuri was badly beaten and was later taken back downstairs. The girl woke her mother up and said something was wrong with the infant.
The babysitter noticed Zuri was bloody and her head was swollen. 911 was called and paramedics were sent to the home.
Zuri was taken to a hospital and later transferred to a children's medical facility where she passed away during surgery. According to police, she died of internal injuries.
