It started early December last year Teri Roberts was diagnosed with Group A streptococcus which rapidly developed into toxic shock syndrome.
She was left in a comatose state as a result. After spending almost two weeks in a coma, the family made the difficult decision to take her off the ventilator, as doctors believed her chances for survival were very slim.
