On May 31, 2014, pilot Amritpal Singh and a passenger passed away when the Cessna 150 went down near the Front Range Airport in Colorado. The plane took off at about 12:30 in the morning and it was listed as missing a little over three hours later.

At about 7 a.m. the downed plane was located. When investigators arrived at the crash site, they discovered a GoPro camera and it showed that the pilot and passenger were both taking selfies with their phones while the plane was flying at low altitudes.
