Samsung most certainly wants to give Apple a run for their money. Could this be the reason why the South Korea tech giant wants to launch its upcoming installment for its Galaxy S line - the Galaxy S6 - earlier than before?

It can be noted that the predecessors of Galaxy S6 were usually launched either in May or in April. The Galaxy S3 was launched in May 2012 while the S4 and S5 iterations were launched in April 2013 and April 2014, respectively. Per Expert Reviews' recent report, it might not take a genius to think that Samsung is gearing for an April 2015 release date. However, certain online media outlets claim that the Galaxy S6 might arrive earlier than expected.

According to Value Walk, the South Korea brand is eyeing an early March 2015 release so that they can get the upper hand in the high-end smartphone realm by giving the expectant public what they want in the first quarter.

If this were true, Samsung could start the profit streak earlier than the Cupertino-headquartered company, which recently revealed what is said to be the largest profit of any company in the history of recorded business all thanks to its two new iPhones: the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

Insiders claim that Samsung is planning to unveil its upcoming flagship smartphone during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from March 2-5.

Another reason why Samsung is determined to launch its Galaxy S6 earlier than before is the idea that the Galaxy S5 is not much different from its predecessor, the Galaxy S4, causing some disappointment among the expectant public, who were craving for more.

For the Galaxy S6, Samsung is reportedly implementing a new design with updated and more novel specs. International Business Times reports that loyal Samsung customers can expect a sleeker Android smartphone with narrower sides and tighter bezels.
