New Greek govt calls for 'international conference on debt'

Greece’s new anti-austerity government wasted no time this week: on Wednesday, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras outlined his government's priorities in dealing with the country’s financial crisis. He said he would press ahead in renegotiating the country's bailout terms and pledged to halt the privatisation of certain firms agreed under the bailout deal.
Georgios Katrougalos, Greece's new Deputy Interior Minister for Administrative Reform, explains his plans for the future. He calls for an "international conference on debt in Europe", concerning not just Greece, and based on the 1953 conference in London that cancelled half of postwar Germany's debt.
