Talks between Syrian gov't and opposition are held in Moscow

At Russia's invitation, meetings between the Syrian government and opposition are being held in Moscow. The dialogues began yesterday. Moscow's initiative seeks to establish the basis of a Syrians-only, comprehensive peace effort, to put an end to the armed internal conflict in Syria so that Syria may then take on external enemies such as the Islamic State which has managed to incorporate large swaths of Syria into its Caliphate . Seeking to frustrate the Russian sponsored efforts, national and foreign terror groups have intensified their mortar attacks against Damascus. teleSUR
