Former LRA commander appears before ICC

For the first time a leader of the brutal Ugandan Lords Resistance Army has appeared before the International Criminal Court. Also, the Nigerian army continues to bombard militant positions around a north-eastern town seized by Boko Haram fighters over the weekend. And World Leprosy day was marked over the weekend; more than 200,000 people are diagnosed with the disease every year.
