Luis Enrique leaves Rakitic out of squad for Elche

Sant Joan Despí (Spain), 23 Jan (EFE).- Luis Enrique Martínez has left midfielder Ivan Rakitic out of his squad for Saturday's game against Elche for technical reasons.
Rakitic's spot has been taken by defender Martín Montoya while Claudio Bravo, who missed the Copa del Rey game against Atlético de Madrid, has been recalled at the expense of Jordi Masip.
Luis Enrique announced the squad list the eve of the Elche match, something unusual for the Spaniard as he normally reveals the list of players on the day of the game.
Also out are Jérémy Mathieu, Douglas Pereira and Thomas Vermaelen, all due to injury.
The 18 footballers to travel to Elche Saturday are: Bravo, Ter Stegen, Piqué, Mascherano, Bartra, Montoya, Alves, Jordi Alba, Adriano, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Rafinha, Sergi Roberto, Neymar, Messi, Luis Suárez and Pedro.
