Cop shoots self with own gun in elevator

A Kentucky police officer with more than 20 years on the job accidentally shot himself with his own gun. The officer was in an elevator with his wife when he tried to put his gun into his coat pocket. The gun went off, and the bullet ricocheted off the wall and struck him in the stomach. He is expected to recover from the wound.
