ROUGH CUT, NO REPORTER NARRATION

Two people are missing and dozens of homes have been destroyed after fires swept through parts of South Australia on Sunday (January 4), local media reported.

Hundreds of fire-fighters from across Australia have been battling the blaze that swept through the Adelaide Hills for three days, and it may continue to burn for several more days, Australia media reported.

Many people had to flee their homes, but some even went back to save their animals.

Evacuation centres have been opened and fire crews are reaching out beyond the state for more help.
