It's the worst mass killing in Edmonton, Canada's history. Police say the suspected killer of eight had a criminal record dating back over two decades.
The alleged killer, identified by local media as 53-year-old Phu Lam, shot and killed seven people in a house, and police say they found another body in a separate location.
Lam later committed suicide at a Vietnamese restaurant northeast of Edmonton where he worked as a maintenance man.
