N Korea boycotts UN meeting on its 'abuses'

The UN Security Council has discussed disturbing allegations of human rights abuses by North Korea, marking the first time the country's human rights record has been discussed by the body.

It comes days after the UN's General Assembly voted to refer North Korea to the International Criminal Court to face charges of crimes against humanity.
