Pakistani student recounts school massacre

Mehran Khan survived an attack at his school on Tuesday, when Pakistan's Taliban militants killed more than 130 of his schoolmates.

The 14-year-old was shot in the hand, leg and back.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) STUDENT WOUNDED IN TALIBAN ATTACK, MEHRAN KHAN, SAYING:

"I couldn't walk, so I crawled to the changing room at the side and pretended to be dead. By then the terrorists had come back. They targeted three people - one teacher and two students. One student's head was filled with bullets, there was no space left. They also killed the second student."

Survivors said the gunmen had suicide vests strapped to their bodies when they entered the school in Peshawar, firing at students and their teachers.

The attack was the bloodiest the country has seen in years.

The Taliban released these photos of militants they say were responsible for the attack.
