Palestine resolution to be presented to UN Security Council today

Today the Palestinian leadership, via Jordan, is expected to present the UN Security Council with a draft resolution to end the conflict with Israel. The proposal would call for a withdrawal of Israeli troops from occupied Palestinian territory within two years, and a return to the negotiating table to achieve a two-state solution for co-existence. While there are no assurances that the US will vote against the measure, its 47 year record of backing Israel makes it likely. teleSUR
