On Wednesday evening, a car jumped a curb and plowed into a Forever 21 store in Manhattan. The crash occurred at a time when the area was full of people, presumably holiday shoppers.

Prior to striking the front of the store, the Ford Mustang hit a number of vehicles and pedestrians. Six individuals were injured as a result.

They were all transported to Bellevue Hospital Center, where their injuries were listed as non life-threatening.

Witness Matty Thomas described the scene stating “She backed up, took off, went around on the other side of the street, went through the intersection, skidded out, fishtailed.. and smacked into all the cars waiting at the light.”

Thomas also said that five bodies were sent flying into the air after the vehicle jumped the curb. The female driver of the Mustang is one of the people injured in the wreck.

Officers believe she was impaired and may charge her with driving while intoxicated. The street where the crash occurred was shut down and police officials reconstructed the accident.

Reportedly, the driver crashed into a parked car in front of Macy's Herald Square. She then drove down the wrong lane and struck another car and a taxi before plowing into Forever 21.
