UN, human rights groups call for prosecuting CIA torturers

In the wake of the release of a US Senate Intelligence Committee report documenting the massive use of torture by the CIA at Washington's naval base in Guantanamo, Cuba, the United Nations and human rights organizations are calling for the criminal prosecution of those guilty of committing such crimes. The UN said the report confirms the international community's suspicion that there was a clear policy from the highest levels of the Bush administration to use torture on a systematic and mass scale and violate international human rights laws. teleSUR
